Idea et praxis. Liberation Theology versus Activity and Doctrine of the Catholic Church

Yamandú Acosta

The article focuses on the paradigmatic essay of José Martí “Nuestra América” published for the fi rst time in “La Revista Ilustrada”, New York, January 1º of 1891. I am defending here its condition of a revolutionary program valid and still current in the XXI century. The novelty of the theses resides in the consideration of this program like a “transmodern” perspective and prospective from and for our America and for all the World which elucidate the conditions for the realization of a concrete universalism included in its declared purpose “for the peace of the centuries”.
