Juliusz Domański

Juliusz Domański (born in 1927) – Professor emeritus at both Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Institute of Classical Philology of the Warsaw University. Active member of The Polish Academy of Learning, associate member of the Warsaw Scientific Society, member of the Polish Philological Society, Polish Philosophical Society and of the International Society for the History of Rhetoric, member of the Programme Board of the “Archive of the History of Philosophy and Social Thought”. Renowned expert in the field of history of Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance philosophy, classical philologist specializing in neolatinism. In 2007 he was awarded Priest Idzi Radziszewski Award by KUL Scientific Society in recognition of his lifetime scholarly achievements in the spirit of Christian humanism.
