Zbigniew Ogonowski

Zbigniew Ogonowski (b. 1924, Warsaw) – professor emeritus, main field of interest: history of philosophy. Worked at PIW in Warsaw, as a member of the Editing Committee of the Collected Writings of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski and in the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology PAN in Warsaw. Among his works are: Problem of tolerance in Poland in XVII century (1958), Locke (1972), Philosophy and Social Thought of the XVII century. 700 years of the Polish Thought, vol. I and II (1979), An outline of the history of philosophy in Poland in XVII and XVIII century (coauthor and editor), Arianic Thought in Poland in XVII century. Anthology of Texts (1991), Political Philosophy in Poland in XVII century and the Tradition of the European Democracy (1992). Former Editor-In-Chief of the “Archives”, now member of the Advisory Board.
