Fenomenologia transcendentalna i metafizyka

Piotr Łaciak

The article addresses the relation between transcendental phenomenology and metaphysics in Edmund Husserl. According to Husserl, transcendental phenomenology is understood as the fi rst philosophy that precedes metaphysics and founds it in methodological import. The foundation of metaphysics is phenomenology taken as eidetic science concerned with transcendental subjectivity and its correlates, and transcendentaleidetic phenomenology is conceived as universal ontology, which is concerned with ideal possibilities independent of the existence of the reality. In contrast to the transcendental phenomenology as eidetic science, metaphysics is a science of facts, science of reality. In the article author shows that Husserl endows the concept of metaphysics with two meanings. In the first meaning metaphysics is understood as secondary philosophy, which comes down to eidetic interpretation of the empirical facts. In the second meaning metaphysics should be interpreted as the last philosophy, which is connected with the irrationality of the fact of the constitution of the world. The transcendental fact of the constitution of the world as the irrational fact exceeds the limits of the eidetic description. This fact has its ultimate grounding in teleology, which reveals its true sense.
